These Terms of Service ("Terms," "Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Subscriber," "Attorney," "you") and MindHYVE.ai™ ("Company," "we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the JustineAI PI platform (the "Platform," "Service," or "Software").
By creating an account, accessing, or using JustineAI PI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
Legal Capacity - You represent that you are:
- A licensed attorney in good standing with the California State Bar, OR
- An authorized legal professional (paralegal, legal assistant, or law firm administrator) acting under attorney supervision
- At least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into binding contracts

This Platform is specifically designed for California personal injury, workers' compensation, and medical-legal law practice. Users must comply with California legal and ethical requirements.
JustineAI PI is an AI-powered legal practice management platform that provides comprehensive tools for California personal injury attorneys.
NOT Legal Advice
The Platform provides technology tools and AI-assisted features but does NOT provide legal advice, legal representation, or substitute for attorney professional judgment.
All AI-generated content MUST be reviewed, edited, and approved by a licensed attorney before use.
Registration Requirements:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
- Valid email address (used as username)
- Secure password meeting our security requirements
- Professional information (attorney name, law firm name, firm contact details)
- California State Bar admission information (if applicable)
Security Features:
- • Passwords encrypted using bcrypt hashing with 10 salt rounds
- • JWT-based authentication with 7-day token expiration
- • Session management with secure token storage
- • Failed login attempt monitoring and rate limiting
Prohibited Account Activity:
- • Sharing your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
- • Creating multiple accounts for a single user
- • Allowing unauthorized access to your account
- • Using another user's account without permission
- • Circumventing security measures or access controls
Permitted Use - You may use the Platform only for:
- Managing your California personal injury, workers' compensation, or medical-legal law practice
- Generating legal documents for your active cases and clients
- Analyzing medical records and case data for your clients
- Obtaining legal guidance to support your professional judgment
- Collaborating with authorized members of your law firm
Prohibited Uses
Illegal or Unethical Activity:
- • Violate California Bar Rules of Professional Conduct
- • Breach attorney-client privilege or confidentiality obligations
- • Engage in unauthorized practice of law
- • Commit fraud, misrepresentation, or deception
Harmful Technical Activity:
- • Introduce viruses, malware, or malicious code
- • Attempt unauthorized access to systems or other users' accounts
- • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform
- • Scrape or harvest data using automated means
AI Usage Violations:
- • Use AI-generated content without attorney review and approval
- • Submit false, misleading, or fabricated information to AI features
- • File AI-generated documents with courts without attorney review
AI Usage Guidelines
Mandatory Attorney Review: All AI-generated legal documents MUST be reviewed, edited, and approved by a licensed attorney before use.
Professional Judgment: AI recommendations are advisory only and do not substitute for attorney professional judgment.
Accuracy Limitations: AI may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information. AI may "hallucinate" non-existent cases, statutes, or legal principles.
Client Consent: You are responsible for obtaining client consent to use AI technology for case management.
Company Ownership
We (MindHYVE.ai™) own and retain all rights, title, and interest in and to:
- • The JustineAI PI platform and all software, code, and algorithms
- • The JustineAI brand name, logo, and related trademarks
- • AI prompt templates, model configurations, and system prompts
- • Legal document templates and clause libraries
- • California legal knowledge database and content
Your Data Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to:
- • Case data and client information you input into the Platform
- • Documents you upload to the Platform
- • Your law firm's confidential information and work product
- • Attorney notes, annotations, and case strategies
We do NOT claim ownership of your client data, case files, or legal work product. Your data remains yours.
AI-Generated Content
Legal documents and content generated by our AI features based on your input are deemed to be your work product once generated for your specific case, subject to your attorney-client privilege with your clients.
Subscription Plans
JustineAI PI is offered on a subscription basis with various pricing tiers based on:
- Number of users (individual attorney vs. law firm)
- Feature access levels
- Usage limits (cases, AI generations, document storage)
- Support levels
Payment Obligations
- • Recurring billing (monthly or annually)
- • Automatic renewal unless canceled
- • Valid payment method required
- • 30 days notice for fee changes
Refund Policy
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by applicable law or in cases of Platform unavailability exceeding our SLA.
AI Usage Costs
Your subscription includes a specified amount of AI usage. If you exceed included limits, you may be charged additional fees based on actual usage.
The Platform implements 60-minute response caching to optimize AI costs.
Our Privacy Policy (available at /privacy) is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Your Responsibilities
- • You are the data controller for client and case data
- • Obtain all necessary consents from clients
- • Comply with CCPA/CPRA requirements
- • Ensure accuracy and lawfulness of data provided
Our Responsibilities
- • Act as data processor providing technology services
- • Implement industry-standard security measures
- • Process data only as necessary for Platform services
- • Do not sell personal information to third parties
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you via email within 72 hours of discovery and notify the California Attorney General if required by Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.82. You remain responsible for notifying your clients as required by California Bar ethical rules.
No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using the Platform does NOT create an attorney-client relationship between you (or your clients) and MindHYVE.ai™ or any of our employees. We are a technology service provider, not a law firm.
Your California Bar Compliance Responsibilities:
AI Supervision - You MUST:
- ✓ Review every AI-generated document before use or filing
- ✓ Independently verify all legal citations, statutes, and case law
- ✓ Edit AI outputs to ensure accuracy and appropriateness
- ✓ Exercise independent professional judgment
- ✓ Disclose AI use to clients and courts as required
You MUST NOT:
- ✗ File AI-generated documents without attorney review
- ✗ Send AI correspondence without attorney approval
- ✗ Rely exclusively on AI for legal research
- ✗ Delegate professional judgment to AI systems
"AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Service
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

- • AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
- • AI may "hallucinate" non-existent cases or statutes
- • AI outputs do not constitute legal advice
- • AI cannot replace attorney professional judgment
- • We may change AI models or prompts at any time
No Guarantee of Case Outcomes
We do NOT guarantee that use of the Platform will result in favorable case outcomes, increased settlements, or case success rates. Legal results depend on many factors outside the Platform's control.
California Law Disclaimer
The Platform is designed for California law only. You are responsible for verifying applicability to your specific cases and independently researching current law.
Liability Cap
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MINDHYVE.AI™ BE LIABLE FOR DAMAGES EXCEEDING THE AMOUNT YOU PAID IN SUBSCRIPTION FEES DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
We Are NOT Liable For:
Professional Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all legal work product and professional decisions. You must maintain your own professional liability insurance. Our limitation of liability does not affect your malpractice liability to your clients.
Termination by You
- • Cancel subscription anytime through Settings
- • Effective at end of current billing period
- • No refund for current billing period
- • Account deletion available upon request
Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate for:
- • Material breach of Terms
- • Non-payment
- • Legal or regulatory reasons
- • Inactive accounts (12+ months)
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- • Access to Platform will be revoked immediately
- • You have 30 days to export your case data and documents
- • After 30 days, we may delete your data per our Privacy Policy
- • Audit logs retained for 7 years for compliance
- • You remain responsible for outstanding fees
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Informal Dispute Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to first contact us to attempt informal resolution:

- • We will attempt good faith negotiation
- • If not resolved within 60 days, may pursue formal resolution
Mandatory Binding Arbitration
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules.
Class Action Waiver:
YOU AGREE TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All disputes must be brought in your individual capacity.
Limitation Period
Any claim or cause of action must be filed within ONE (1) YEAR after the claim arose, or it will be permanently barred.
